Wrapping it Up - Volume 10

This is new. Most of the time I write from my home office (ahem - my bedroom). Sometimes I'm lucky enough to get out alone and I can write in Starbucks. Sometimes I get really daring and attempt to write downstairs on the couch while the girls are playing.

Today I'm writing on the train! (The concept of wi-fi while traveling is very new to me). I'm heading to the Affiliate Summit in Philadelphia. It's a pretty risk free trip for me. Thanks to Glitter Network (and the perks of having a traveling husband with lots of points), my out of pocket expenses were pretty low and I can really check out how this sort of marketing might help me earn a little bit for the work I do as a writer, while still maintaining the integrity of the site as one where I tell stories - not advertise. I'm excited to start meeting with people and getting some ideas.

Highlights of the Week

Only two new posts this week.

One was a really great interaction. I went to get my emissions done and met a woman on a wonderful mission to build women up.

I had Kristina guest post for me on Friday. As she prepared to leave her girls home with their Dad, she prepped a box of treats and activities for them. I loved her ideas so much that I am happy to share her post and her idea. The girls had a bag of activities and surprises waiting for them when they got home from dropping me off.

Noteworthy Happenings

Not an exciting week. Summer activities have come to a close and fall activities are still a few weeks away.

I did sign Reagan up for gymnastics. I'm very excited that she'll have her own activity to do with me while Madison is in school. I laughed when I spoke to the them on the phone and they wanted to confirm that Reagan was "confident on her feet". I laughed for a while, before assuring the nice man that, yes, she was confident on her feet. And on top of the coffee table. He said it sounds like she'll fit in just fine.

Facebook

I had a lot to say this week!

This was great.
This was not.

This was the aftermath.
Three appears to have much more "no" to it than two did.

I'm slowly getting my confidence back.

I did get the pedicure. So I forgive them.

I got back into Twitter this week - my phone approved.

Poor Adam.

Madison's new favorite show. I am poking ALL kinds of holes in Whyatt's logic.

I don't mind canceled events. I DO mind when I don't know about them.

If you don't already follow me on Twitter, you can find me @meredithtomommy.

Blogkeeping

No real blogkeeping this week. However, as I mentioned last week, I will slowly be moving all my blog posts on Facebook to my blog page, and off my personal page. For most of you, this won't make any sort of difference at all. But if we're Facebook friends and you've been getting all your post notifications from my personal account, please know I plan to slowly stop sharing most posts there within the next month or so. If you want to make sure you're getting all my posts, pictures, and humorous statuses, make sure you like my Facebook page. And because Facebook can be kind of a jerk and will only show you some of what I post, make sure that when you're on my page you ask to receive all notifications.

I don't know about you, but I don't like Facebook deciding what is and isn't important.

Have a great week!
